Welcome to the Boys & Girls Club of Elgin

Welcome!  This site is dedicated to displaying the projects of the Boys & Girls of Elgin.  Our Club members take part in Digital Arts programs through out the year and compete against other Boys & Girls Clubs throughout the nation.  The theme for this years Digital Arts Club Tech program is "Our Changing World."

Image Makers

Image Makers is a nationally organized program which our Club members participate in annually.  Our Club members have the opportunity to learn how to take aesthetically pleasing pictures and compete with other clubs across the nation.  Please enjoy our digital gallery.

Graphic Design

Our Club members were challenged with using words, photos and innovative design, to create a full-page magazine advertisement motivating youth to get involved and make a difference.  We are proud to announce that Metzin M. will be representing the Boys & Girls Club of Elgin in the Midwest Regional Competition with her magazine add to "Stop Global Warming."  Congrats and good luck!

Web Design

Check out these websites created by our Club members.  Our Club members were challenged to create a Web page that provides a "call to action" to get people involved and supportive of a cause they believe in. The site must consist of two pages, no more or less, and can include text, photos, Flash animation and audio.  We are proud to announce that Amber S. represented the Boys & Girls Club of Elgin in the Midwest Regional Competition for Web Design with her Antismoking website.  Great job Amber! Thanks to all that participated.

Now, I say to you today my friends, even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: - 'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.' Martin Luther King Jr., Speech at a Civil Rights March on Washington, on August 28, 1963
